Protesters Distrupt Hearing on Flamborough Tar Sands Pipeline → thespec.com

London, Ont - Planned hearings between Enbridge and the National Energy Board were disrupted today as indigenous and environmental protesters raised a ruckus early in the hearings. Enbridge was hoping to reverse the flow  on its pipeline from Sarnia to the Westover terminal to carry petroleum products from Alberta to Montreal for refining.

The National Fair Housing Association (NFHA) has conducted a survey of over a thousand bank-owned, foreclosed homes in “black” and “white” neighbourhoods. Unsurprisingly, those in predominantly white areas were more likely to be kept up and marketed, while in poorer racialized neighbourhoods identical properties tended to be run-down, overgrown, and have no “For Sale” signs to speak of.
